Learn how to do Snowboard Tricks!

Here are the latest snowboard tricks you see in snowboard videos.

Everyone knows that snowboarding is all about which snowboard tricks you can land. Did you just learn how to snowboard and can't hit a jump yet? Well you still need to know the lingo so you can hang out in the lodge, snowboard shop or at the top of the park. This article will introduce you to the basic snowboard tricks that every pro snowboarder knows how to do.

The first of all the snowboard tricks is the grab. The major grabs are tail, mute, indy, nose, lien, stalefish, slob, and method grabs. You can learn how to snowboard without knowing the minor differences between all of them in less you are planning to judge a snowboard tricks at a competition this season. Just be able to drop a couple of grab names. The little known truth is that barely anyone knows what all of the trick names are so don't worry about it!

Your next snowboard trick is the 180. The number of degrees you rotate during the spin is always the name of the trick. A 180 means that you have rotated half of a complete circle (360 degrees) so you will land backwards. When you learn how to snowboard practice the 180 until you can land it and throw a grab in the middle of the rotation.

Next you need to define whether a snowboard trick is a "frontside" or "backside" spin. This can get a little tricky because it changes depending on whether or not you are goofy or regular footed. Goofy foot means that you prefer your right foot to be on the front of the snowboard. Regular footed snowboarders prefer their left foot on the front of the board.

For a goofy footed snowboard, a clockwise rotation is frontside. A counter-clockwise rotation for a goofy footed rider is a backside spin. Oppositely, if the rider is regular footed, a clockwise rotation is backside and their counter-clockwise rotations are frontside. It makes more sense if you stand up and pretend to hit a snowboard jump in your living room and act it out.

Now the next time you go to the park tell you friend to try a "Backside 540 tail grab"!
