Looking for Discount Snowboards?

How to find great discount snowboards and leave extra cash for snowboard bindings!

Whether you're looking to purchase your first snowboard or you've been through a few different boards, it never hurts to find some discount snowboards. Unfortunately, finding good discount snowboards can be more difficult than you think. This article will let you know where to look and what to watch out for when you try to find a bargain on next season's board and snowboard bindings.

It's always a good idea to check with your local snowboard shop first. The owners and operators of small stores can usually lend some helpful insight. They may even have some overstocked Burton snowboards from last year in the backroom! If not, ask them what brand, model and size you should look for and then head to your computer.

Ebay.com is the first place to look for discount snowboards and snowboard accessories. Online auctions are the best way to get cheap snowboards and save the rest of your money for the important stuff like new snowboard goggles!

But be careful HOW you search online! If you go to eBay and type in "Burton snowboard", then you will get unwanted results from tricky marketers using the Burton name in their product description for something else.

Here's an example: Someone is selling a Salomon snowboard and they know that more snowboarders are looking for the Burton brand so they write their description to read "Salomon snowboard for sale - Discount snowboard - Not Burton". Pay attention to the last phrase that says "Not Burton". By including both snowboard manufacturer names they have outsmarted the search engine and given you results that you didn't want! Be wary of the sellers who use this type of trickery.

After you have bid on a few discount snowboards and didn't get the price you wanted, try searching in Google or Yahoo for the board or brand name that you need. It may also help to include last year ("2008" if it's 2009) when you search for a cheap snowboard. Last season's model is always less expensive and there are going to be excellent used snowboards hiding all over the world. Just get online and search for the board or snowboard bindings you want! Good luck!
