Need new Snowboard Pants? The perfect snowboard clothing can be tough to find.

Read this great guide to buying snowboard pants and other snowboard clothing.

Every year big brand names like Burton Snowboards and Volcom Clothing come out with half a dozen new pairs of snowboard pants and lines of jackets, hats, gloves etc. How do you choose the snowboard clothing that's right for you? This article will let you know how to get that perfect pair of snowboard pants and the boots to go with it!

First, you need ask yourself what type of weather you will be riding in and then what style of snowboard pants you want. By asking and answering those two questions you should be able to narrow your search for new snowboard clothing down to a more manageable list.

If you live in the Midwest, Northeast or the Northwest, chances are you see a lot of wet snow, cold cloudy days and probably do some night riding. If you feel like that describes where you spend your time then you want some heavier snowboard pants that won't soak your butt or knees when they hit the damp snow. This rules out the lightweight snowboard clothing that usually seems more appealing because of its lower cost. No surprise to you, I'm sure!

Snowboarders in Colorado or Southern California see a lot of sun and enjoy that dry, lighter snow that you see in snowboard pics and snowboard videos. If you spend your time on these slopes then you can look at the lighter weight snowboard pants that don't provide as much insulation and water-resistance as the heavy duty snowboard clothing.

Now pick the brand and style you want (Burton, Volcom Clothing, Columbia Outerwear, etc) and look at the two or three pair of snowboard pants or other clothing that match the environment you'll be snowboarding in. Remember to choose pants that will fit over your snowboard boots. Some pants will have a little zipper at the bottom so that you can widen your cuff to ensure that it fits over any boot size.

Finally, always remember 'style over price'! If you spend a couple of extra bucks to feel like you've got some swagger because your snowboard pants look good, you're going to ride that much better!
