Looking for new Snowboard Bindings?

Here is what to look for when buying snowboard bindings.

Choosing the correct snowboard bindings depends on the type of snowboard you buy and how your ride. There are basically five types of snowboarders and five types of snowboards: Novice, Youth, Female Intermediate, Male Intermediate and Expert.

It is important that you choose a set of bindings that is compatible with your snowboard. For instance, Burton Snowboard Bindings are designed to work with Burton Snowboards. You can also often find package deals were you get a snowboard and bindings together. This is a good way to get a cheap snowboard setup - perfect for beginners.

Female snowboarders will want to purchase female specific or smaller snowboard bindings. Most manufactures will produce at least three binding sizes for each model (S,M,L). See the individual manufacturer information for a sizing chart.

If you purchase step-in snowboard bindings then you also need step-in boots that are designed specifically for the bindings you purchased. Companies have patents on their step-in systems so boot manufactures pay rights to be allowed to develop boots that are compatilible with a snowboard binding manufacturer's unique specs.
